The Yankees agreed with Andy Pettitte on a 1 yr deal which guarantees him $5.5 million with a chance to make $12 million. This is a huge success for the Yankees who had offered him $10 million guaranteed, which he turned down. I'm sure he's regretting that now.

I'm still in favor of putting Hughes in the rotation and Joba in the pen. The rotation will still be excellent and they would have the best bullpen in the majors. The plus side of keeping Hughes in AAA is that if Pettitte or Burnett get hurt, they have a possible replacement.
More importantly, I'm glad Andy is back with the Yankees where he belongs.
